Colorado Springs Chemical Peels That Bleach Skin
Colorado Springs chemical peels are performed by
cosmetic surgeons for the purpose of enhancing a
person's appearance. There are three different
strengths or levels of chemical peel available to
accomplish different tasks. In addition to other
effects, the strongest peels can bleach skin.
Phenol is commonly used in the strongest of chemical
peels applied by medical professionals. This
chemical penetrates deeply into the outer layer of
skin and removes it all the way down to fresh, live
skin cells. It also has the effect of rendering
these cells incapable of producing melanin, the
pigment that gives skin its color.
Freckles, color blotches, and other skin coloring
problems can be removed with these peels. The
effects are permanent in terms of bleaching skin and
removal of the ability to regenerate skin pigments.
For this, and other reasons, anyone who has a phenol
chemical peel must use sunblock to protect their
face from the effects of UV rays.
Dark skinned individuals are normally not candidates
for the deep penetrating phenol chemical peel. This
is because their skin is darker due to the fact it
produces more melanin than light skinned
individuals. Application of phenol peels can lighten
skin shades so that a person of African descent with
black skin could conceivably end up with white skin
on the face.
